Is a tie tack back included with the purchase of a tie tack? If yes, will it be of sterling silver if the tie tack is of sterling?

The tie tack back and button clip is included. They are not made of sterling silver but rather silver plated stainless steel.

What is the trend for engraving tie tacks .... First or last initial?

We definitely have customers that engrave first and we definitely have customers that engrave the last! Overall, though, we see more customers having the last name engraved. Hope that helps!
